The formal system of education called school is rooted in the past, yet it flourishes by educating the future – a future that is impacted by and continues to impact the political, societal, technological and environmental scenario. As Pope Francis affirms, “Educating is not just a profession but an attitude – a way of being; in order to educate, it is necessary to step out of ourselves and be among the Angels on earth.”
Our foundress, Blessed Brigida of Jesus who was an awakened educator herself during the 17th century, lit a flame to ignite the minds of the young girls. Today, it is our duty to keep this flame burning brightly and to let its light spread everywhere through the young boys and girls who are under our care.
It requires a dedicated and committed team of educators, who can make a difference in the life of each child they come across. Transformation of a child into a responsible individual is the role of an educator. For this to be successful, one should be an awakened educator who wholeheartedly accepts the responsibility of each and every student they are entrusted with.
